The Pinewood Derby is the biggest day of the scouting year. Every scout gets a block of pine, shapes it into a car, and races it on the track. Siblings race too, and there is a bake sale running all afternoon.

Scout tickets are $5 rather than $10 because Patriots’ Path Council covered the car kits after the pack beat its goal of 15 new scouts.

Race kits are handed out at Build Night on Thursday, December 10 at 6:45 pm at the clubhouse — this replaces the December pack meeting. Saws, sandpaper and paint will be set up so scouts can cut and decorate their cars on the night. If you cannot make it, speak to a leader about collecting a kit.
